## Symptoms

- * "`Couldn't retrieve blades information. not well-formed (invalid token) at line 1`" error when importing activation file for SMB device:

  ![](https://sc1.checkpoint.com/sc/SolutionsStatics/sk116342/sk116342-error1703290831.png)
* The `cplic print -x` command shows multiple licenses installed on the device while only one should be present.

## Cause

Product in the UserCenter was missing license information when first activated and all failed license attempts were still showing installed on the device. Instead of a single license like the one below, there were mutliple like this with different signature keys for each instance.

*127.0.0.1 never axxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx CPAP-AP1120 ENF-APP CPSB-FW CPSB-IPS-S1 CPSB-URLF CPSB-APCL-S1 CPSB-AV CPSB-ABOT-S CPSB-ASPM CK-xx-1C-7F-xx-xx-xx* {#_plain_text_marker}

The license activation process with these devices should have removed the previous license activation so there should only be one license installed at any given time. In this case, only the last license installed was being updated and the error was in deleting the previous failed licenses that were installed.

## Solution

1. Run the *cplic del \<signature key\>* command to delete any duplicate licenses installed by entering the unique signature key from the '*cplic print -x'* . Repeat this until only a single license instance is installed.

2. Once the duplicate license strings have been removed, reactivate the appliance by clicking the "*Reactivate* " button in the Gaia WebUI or by downloading the *Activation.xml* file from the UserCenter and importing the activation file by clicking on the Offline activation link.

3. If the activation error continues or some expected blades fail to activate, contact Check Point Account Services in one of these ways:
