# sk116341 - TLS errors in Internet Explorer when using Certificate authentication on Mobile Access

## Symptoms

- IE displaying TLS errors, such as: `"make sure that TLS1.0, 1.1 and 1.2 is enabled"`.

## Cause

Authentication Method for Mobile Access Portal is certificates, and strong Key Protection is enabled (user has to input the certificate password every time).

As user has to enter the certificate password every time, a session negotiation timeout has been reached.
