# sk115374 - "More than one object named ... exists" error on Global Policy assignment failure

## Symptoms

- * Global Policy assignment fails with the following errors:
  * "Global Domain Assignment Failed: A blocking validation error was found: More than one object named \<name\> exists."
  * "The object named \<name\> cannot be found in Objects explorer, either in the Domain or the global Domain."
* Problem happens if the object with \<name\> is a profile object.

## Cause

More than one object with the same name exist in the database, although it cannot be found in the object explorer.
