## Symptoms

- * When using RADIUS OTP authentication method, users take more than 150 seconds to receive the challenge SMS code and the authentication fails as the session is invalid after this time.
* Following logs are shown in the file $CVPNDIR/log/cvpnd.elg:
  `[AUTHNMAN] [CVPN_INFO] Cvpn::AuthnManager::getConfAuthSessionTimeout: Auth Session Timeout is: 150`
  `
  [AUTHNMAN] [CVPN_INFO] Cvpn::AuthnManager::newAuthSession: New session created: [Session_ID]`
  The timeout will be found 150 seconds later:
  `[AUTHNMAN] [CVPN_INFO] Cvpn::AuthnManager::cleanup: closing auth session: [Session_ID]`
* `If Using Dynamic ID, Password is expiring prior to the settings in Smartconsole.`

## Cause

When creating an authentication session the Mobile Access Gateway calls for for parameter '**authSessionTimeout**' to set the timeout for this session.

The default value of this parameter is 150 seconds (2.5 minutes), hence after this time the session will be invalid and any further authentication attempt from this user will fail.
