# sk115275 - Intermittent traffic loss of traffic through a VPN tunnel with Cisco ASA Peer

## Symptoms

- * Intermittent traffic loss of traffic through a VPN tunnel with Cisco ASA Peer. For example 10 pings succeed, 5 drop, then 5 succeed, 7 drop etc. The drop pattern is completely random, but observable quite frequently.
* P1 and p2 renegotiations continuously occurring between 1 - 10 minutes.
* VPN debugs shows:

  ```
  processNotifyPayload: notify type: 18
  HandleStatusMessage: received a non-status notification
  Peer 3eda7382 says: Received Notification from Peer: invalid id information
  Received Notification from Peer: invalid id information
  ```

* Errors on Cisco device:

  ```

  ```
