## Cause

When using Russian characters in an LDAP User Properties DN OU attribute (**Only in OU attribute** ), the Russian characters are interpreted as gibberish. (According to [sk95049](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk95049), those characters are not yet supported in the LDAP User Properties OU attribute).

If you use LDAP Group with a **Group's Scope** value of "Only Group in branch (DN prefix):", the comparison of the two strings (The LDAP Group DN and the LDAP User DN) will not match, and therefore the user is not located and you cannot connect to the site.
