# sk114994 - Anti-Spam does not block POP3 emails from "Block List" by Sender IP on locally managed SMB appliances

## Symptoms

- Anti-Spam does not block e-mails from "Block List" by Senders IP address on 600 / 700 / 1100 / 1400 locally managed SMB appliances.

## Solution

No fix is required; the system is functioning as designed.

The "IP Reputation" and "Sender blacklist" features are only relevant for SMTP traffic (and not for POP3). In POP3 inspection all emails are received from the POP3 server, and the original IP address of the sender is not known, therefore inspection decisions like "IP reputation" and "IP address block list" cannot be done.
