# sk114936 - All CPD processes on Multi-Domain Management Server are crashing very often

## Symptoms

- * The CPD processes of the MDS and all CMAs are restarting every 10 minutes.  

* The Multi-Domain Server's CPD processes status is down in the output of `mdsstat` command.  

* The cpwd.elg file shows:  
  `[ERROR] CPD (pid=12345) did not send keep-alive message for 1 number of times`  
  These messages repeat every minute until the 10th time, when cpwd terminates CPD.

## Cause

By design, the CPD process will query the hardware sensors for status.

In a Multi-Domain Management environment, multiple CPD processes are querying the same sensors causing a lock.
