## Symptoms

- Web browser fails to connect to Gaia Portal with the following error:

Cannot communicate securely with peer: no common encryption algorithm(s).

(Error code: ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap)
```

## Cause

This issue usually happens when certain types of encryption have been disabled in the web browser.  
In some cases, this forces a more secure connection than the server's default.

In other cases, a more secure connection is not offered by the server,  
resulting in a failed connection with the above error message.
