# sk114393 - Emulex Network Interface Card (that uses the 'be2net' driver) does not work after installation of Gaia / SecurePlatform OS on Open Server

## Symptoms

- * Emulex Network Interface Card that uses the `be2net` device driver, does not work after installation of Gaia / SecurePlatform OS on an Open Server.

* Output of the "`ifconfig -a`" command does not show the Emulex Network Interface Card that uses the `be2net` device driver.

* The following lines appear during boot on the console and in the */var/log/dmesg* file:  
  `
  be2net [`*PCI-ID* `]: Error in cmd completion - opcode 50, compl 1, extd 0`  
  `
  ACPI: PCI interrupt for device [`*PCI-ID* `] disabled`  
  `
  be2net [`*PCI-ID*`]: Emulex OneConnect 10Gbps NIC (be3) initialization failed
  `

## Cause

Emulex PXESelect Utility allows enabling of a firmware option (Advanced Mode Support) that is not compatible with the driver integrated into Check Point operating systems.
