## Symptoms

- * Identity Awareness Multi-User Host agent \[MUH\] is connected, but no users are being identified.
* **ia_client.log of the agent shows error:**   
  *\[UIPLib (NAC::IS::TD::Surprise)\] UIP::UserIdentificationByPort::startDriver: StartService failed error code = **0x241***

## Cause

CheckPoint has moved to SHA-256 certificates signing since 2016, the generated certificate for the Identity Awareness Multi-User Host \[MUH\] agent is as well signed with 2016 driver and shares a SHA-2 certificate.

Error ID 0x241 means that Windows 2008 or Windows 7 (only), cannot verify the digital signature for this file, because the certificate support for SHA-2 hotfix was not installed on the Windows 7 or Windows 2008 / Terminal Server, or it does not support sha-2 signing algorithm.
