# sk113592 - Custom SNMP trap does not work

## Symptoms

- When extending SNMP and creating custom traps monitoring per [sk90860](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk90860) and [sk101446](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk101446), the created custom SNMP trap does not work properly.

## Cause

If the branch of the custom OID is not defined in sequence in the file:` /etc/snmp/userDefinedSettings.conf`, OIDs which are out of sequence will fail to work properly.
