# sk112576 - In Unified Policy, when using "Any" in Services & Applications column in Rule Base, not all applications appear in Mobile Access portal or Capsule Workspace

## Symptoms

- In the Unified Policy, when using "Any" in the Services \& Applications column in the Rule Base, not all applications appear in the Mobile Access portal or Capsule Workspace.

## Cause

By default, only applications that are explicitly used in the Rule Base are shown to the user in the Mobile Access Portal or Capsule Workspace.

For an application to be shown to the user in the Mobile Access Portal or Capsule Workspace, you should add it to the **Services \& Applications** column of your permissive rule. **Using "Any" in the Services \& Applications column authorizes access to all applications, but will not show them in the Mobile Access Portal or Capsule Workspace.**

You can change this behavior by using the solution below. With this solution, applications are shown to the user in the Mobile Access Portal or Capsule Workspace, if they are allowed (authorized) in the Unified Policy Rule Base, regardless of whether they are explicitly mentioned in the **Services \& Applications** column. This means that users can see all the applications they are allowed to access according to the Rule Base, even when the application itself is not specified in the rule's **Services \& Applications** column.

For example, the URL for application **A** is *https://\<internalserver\>.com* , and the authorized location for application **B** is *\<internalserver\>* . Only application **B** is in use in the Rule Base. However, when the solution below is applied and a user is authorized for application **B** in the Mobile Access portal or Capsule Workspace, they would also see application **A** 's link, as its URL is matched on the rule with application **B**.
