## Symptoms

- * Various issues after migrating vSEC Gateway Virtual Edition (VE) in Hypervisor Mode between ESXi hosts or Storage using vMotion.
* Various issues after migrating vSEC Gateway for NSX in Hypervisor Mode between ESXi hosts or Storage using vMotion.

## Cause

Storage or Host vMotion of the vSEC Gateway in **Hypervisor Mode** (Service VM) is *not* supported.

Storage or Host vMotion of the vSEC Gateway in **Network Mode** *is* supported\*.

vMotion is not supported for Security Management / Multi-Domain Management / SmartEvent / Log Servers.

## Solution

No fix is required; the system is functioning as designed.
