# sk112204 - Gaia installation on Open Server/ESX fails with "IndexError: list index out of range" error

## Symptoms

- * After starting installation of Gaia on Open Server/VMWare ESX, the following messages appears:

  ```

  IndexError: list index out of range

* Error informing the kernel about modifications to partition /dev/sda3 - Device or resource busy. This means Linux won't know about any changes you made to /dev/sda3 until you reboot - so you shouldn't mount it or use it in any way before rebooting.

## Cause

* Scenario 1

  * There is a problems with partition scheme which is due to RAID configuration on the open server.

  * Scenario 2

  * HDD size is larger than 2TB.
