# sk111815 - Tunnel test packet going to wrong IP address

## Symptoms

- * Tunnel test packet going to wrong IP address.
* The peer's IP address was changed, but the tunnel test packets are still being sent out to the old IP address.

## Cause

Changes in the topology, such as changes in Interface IP addresses, must be synchronized with what is seen in SmartDashboard.

Otherwise, tunnel test packets will be sent to an IP address that is incorrect.
