# sk111772 - Running debug scripts while Management Server is up, may lead to unexpected behavior

## Symptoms

- Running debug scripts on the Security Management Server may cause the following problems:   

* Management Server becomes not responsive
* SmartConsole crashed abruptly
* Unexpected behavior of SmartConsole

## Cause

Scripts which reside in the *$FWDIR/scripts* directory on the Security Management Server or*$MDS_TEMPLATE/scripts* directory on the Multi-Domain Management Server are for internal use only.  
Running them (especially while Security Management Server is up) might lead to unexpected behavior.

Examples of these scripts:

* *auto_ngm_postinstall.sh*
* *cpm_stop.sh*
* *cpm_stop_including_solr.sh*
* *cpm_stop_including_solr_postgres.sh*
* *cpm_wd_stop.sh*
* *ngm_postinstall.sh*
* *ngm_stop.sh*
* *postgres_restart.sh*
* *postgres_stop.sh*
* *solr_debug.py*
* *solr_stop.sh*
