# sk111401 - How to configure a Hotspot with Radius authentication on locally managed SMB appliances

## Solution

**1. Configure Radius server.**

In the WebUI=\>Users \& Objects=\>Authentication Servers and add Radius:

**2. Enable Radius authentication for Remote Access users.**

**3. Activate a Hotspot.**

In the WebUI=\>Device=\>Hotspot and check the "Require Authentication" checkbox.

**4. Define the interface for a Hotspot.**

For example interface LAN1_Switch. Check the "Use Hotspot when connecting to network" checkbox and push "Apply".

**5. Enjoy the Radius authentication for a Hotspot.**
