## Symptoms

- * Upgrade of 1100 appliance from R75.20 to R77.20, fails for the second phase of "Installing new Image":

* The `messages` file shows:

  ```
  
  DATE TIME Hostname user.info CHECKPOINT: [System Operations] Starting Image upgrade process...
  DATE TIME Hostname user.info CHECKPOINT: [System Operations] Upgrading the appliance software version
  DATE TIME Hostname user.info firmTool: Bad Firmware Magic Number
  DATE TIME Hostname user.err CHECKPOINT: [System Operations] Failed to upgrade the appliance software version
  DATE TIME Hostname daemon.err ntpdate[15464]: no server suitable for synchronization found
  DATE TIME Hostname user.info CHECKPOINT: Canceling software upgrade process
  ```

* The downloaded "upgrade_image" logs shows the below errors:

  ```
  
  <Upgrade_timestamp_xxx>: Current image version is
  <Upgrade_timestamp_xxx>: Build number is
  <Upgrade_timestamp_xxx>: Invalid image file
  ```
