# sk111168 - Unable to open Native Applications in Mobile Access portal when Office Mode disabled

## Symptoms

- * Unable to open Native Applications in Mobile Access portal. Receiving the error "Authentication failed".
* Smartview Tracker displays a log under Mobile Access showing "SNX connection failed".
* Smartview Tracker shows a log under IPSec VPN Blade detailing the following error:  
  "SSL Network Extender: The User is not allowed to receive an office mode IP therefore he can't connect to the SSL Network Extender. Please check Office Mode configuration in the SmartDashboard".
* User can login to Mobile Access Portal without any authentication failures.

## Cause

SSL Network Extender is used when connecting to Native Applications in the Mobile Access Portal. Office Mode is required in order to connect to SSL Network Extender.
