## Symptoms

- * VPN Client does not present the User Certificate installed on MS CAPI, even though the relevant User Certificate was properly enrolled and installed in MS CAPI and can be seen using MMC (Microsoft Management Console).
* In *TrGUI.log* , see the following errors:
  "messaging::_receive_callback: \[SEVERE\] Not enough space to hold pipe messages. Consider increasing CLIENTBUFFERSIZE"
  ...
  "TrApplication::GetCertListFromCAPI: Can't retrieve dn list"
* In *trac.log*, see that the VPN Client is in fact reading the content of the certificate.
* In the VPN Client Connection Window the Certificate field is blank and the window will disappear quickly.

* No window is pop-up when the user right-clicks on the vpn client icon and select "Connect".

## Cause

**Environment:**"Certificate - CAPI" is selected as the required Authentication Method in the relevant site properties.

The buffer which is designated for displaying certificates is full. This may happen in a case where an extraordinary number of certificates is installed on the affected client machine's MS CAPI. The actual number of certificates installed on the MS CAPI may vary according to the size of certain fields on the certificate (for instance, issue name).
