# sk110908 - Certificate State is "Uninitialized" on primary Domain Management Server however other functions work normally

## Symptoms

- * Certificate State is "Uninitialized" on primary Domain Management Server.
* Other functions work normally such as policy install and installing database.
* Clicking "Get" in the section "Platform" of the primary Domain Management Server returns an error message stating that SIC has to be initialized first.

## Cause

The root cause for that error is a missing valid certificate:

After issuing the command following commands

* mdsenv \<\<DOMAIN\>\>
* cpca_client lscert -kind SIC -dn cp_mgmt

the result will have no **valid** certificate for "Subject = CN=cp_mgmt, o=...".

There may be revoked or expired certificates for "Subject = CN=cp_mgmt, o=..." or valid certificates for "Subject = CN=cp_mgmt_\<\<DMS-NAME\>\>, o=..." but no valid certificate for "Subject = CN=cp_mgmt, o=..."
