## Symptoms

- Logs from some Security Gateways are missing in R80 SmartLog "Auto-refresh".

## Cause

If SmartLog receives logs from multiple Security Gateways in the environment, and clocks on these Security Gateways are not synchronized, then logs might be missing from Security Gateways whose clocks are lagging (comparing to Security Gateways whose clocks are more advanced in time).

This is because from the perspective of Security Gateways whose clocks are lagging, SmartLog "Auto-refresh" asks for logs "that are in the future".

## Solution

To resolve this issue, choose *one* of the following options:

1. Either synchronize the clocks on all Security Gateways in the environment (according to the local time zone):

   1. Set the correct local time.

Refer to the Administration Guide for the relevant operating system. For example:

   2. Restart the CPD daemon:

***\[Expert@GW_HostName:0\]# cpwd_admin stop -name CPD -path "$CPDIR/bin/cpd_admin" -command "cpd_admin stop"***

      ***\[Expert@GW_HostName:0\]# cpwd_admin start -name CPD -path "$CPDIR/bin/cpd" -command "cpd" -retry_limit u***
2. Or in R80 SmartLog in SmartConsole GUI, filter for the Security Gateways, whose logs you wish to see.
