## Symptoms

- * *lvm_manager.sh* script fails with the following error after selecting to perform a resizing operation:  
  `Killing processes that access to the filesystem...`

  Error: Cannot kill process with id `*[PID]*

  press ENTER to continue.`

* There is sufficient disk space to perform the resizing operation.

## Cause

A process which requires constant access to the OS file system is running, and *lvm_manager* was unable to kill it.
