# sk109433 - Policy installation fails due to timeout, and memory consumption on Security Gateway increases up to 100%

## Symptoms

- * Policy installation in SmartDashboard fails with:

  * `Operation incomplete due to timeout`
  * `Load on Module failed`
  * `Failed to Load Security Policy`
* Memory consumption on Security Gateway during policy installation increases up to 100% (at the same time, CPU consumption is very low).

* Kernel debug on Security Gateway ('`fw ctl debug -m kiss + pm salloc thinnfa`') during policy installation shows memory allocation errors similar to these:

  ```
  
  ;fw_salloc_ex: unable to allocate XXX bytes for kiss_thin_nfa_create;
  ;kiss_thin_nfa_create: Error allocating the bnfa - size XXX;
  ;kiss_thin_nfa_destroy: Destroying Thin NFA XXX...

  ```

* Restarting Check Point services helps, but the issue returns.
