# sk109395 - FWM: database disk image is malformed

## Symptoms

- * The `mdsstat` command shows all CMAs as up, however FWM for MDS show them as down.  

* A debug of fwm for the MDS ([sk33207 - How to debug FWM daemon on Provider-1 CMA / Domain Management Server](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk33207)) shows:

  `[MDS PID...] Connected to FWD (log connection). conn=9fb8dc0`  
  `[MDS PID...] fwnetobj_getbysicname: table_chosen_get_with_param(eTABLE_NETWORK_OBJECTS, is_obj_SIC_name, cn=cp_mgmt,o=ABCCORPMDS..pu95kb) returned NULL.`  
  `[MDS PID...] resolver_gethostbyname: Performing gethostbyname for Hostname`  
  `[MDS PID...] hash_do_resize: Resizing hash from 16384 to 32768 (n_elements=32768)`  
  `[MDS PID...] do_links_getver: strncmp failed. Returning -2`  
  `Failed to execute SQLite statement: DELETE FROM links WHERE session_id <> '' (11, `**database disk image is malformed** `)`  
  `Failed to initialize table manager: sRelativeDbPath = mdsdb`  
  `Failed to initialize database manager with error 0x80004005 ('Unspecified error')`

## Cause

"*database disk image is malformed*" is an error message that is generated by sqlite3 when one of the databases is corrupted. However debug log provides no indication which database file (or files) is corrupt.
