# sk109370 - SecuRemote will not connect to Embedded GAIA appliance without additional clear text rule

## Symptoms

- * 600 / 700 / 1100 / 1200R / 1400 appliance participating in Remote Access community with users defined.
* No Office Mode assigned as SecuRemote does not support this feature.
* The tunnel will establish, however we will not see any decrypt packets if there is not another allow another rule below with the client local IP (address from local WIFI).
* If this rule is added it will hit a vpn rule and show a decrypt.
* The same rulebase and configuration does not have an issue on non embedded Gaia OS systems.

## Cause

There are two factors, which may be responsible for this behavior.

1. The appliance is not correctly licensed.

2. The Hostname on appliance does not match the name of the corresponding object in SmartDashboard.
