## Symptoms

- Windows Update fails with error code 80072F8F through Security Gateway when HTTPS Inspection is enabled, although the option "*Bypass HTTPS inspection of traffic to well known software update services*" is enabled.

## Cause

The file *$CPDIR/database/downloads/HTTPS_INSPECTION/https_domain_ignore_list.bin* was not created on Security Gateway.

Notes:

* This file holds a white-list of Software Service Updates, which should be bypassed by HTTPS Inspection.
* This file is dynamically updated from Check Point servers (by default, every 1440 minutes / 24 hours).
* This file is created after policy installation, which enables HTTPS Inspection with enabled option "*Bypass HTTPS inspection of traffic to well known software update services*".
* If this file is not created, then a failure message is printed in *$CPDIR/database/downloads/HTTPS_INSPECTION/1.0/Update_status.dat* file.
