# sk109115 - Identity Agent on Windows 2003 Server shows "Disconnected" when Identity Awareness Gateway uses a third party certificate

## Symptoms

- * Identity Agent running on Windows 2003 Server is not able to connect to Identity Awareness Gateway.

* Identity Agent logs show messages similar to these:

## Cause

Identity Awareness Gateway has a third party certificate installed. Windows 2003 Server does not trust this certificate (e.g., this CA was only founded when the OS was released).
