# sk109034 - "Error: Self Test failed, no auto-rollback" on installation/upgrade with CPUSE

## Symptoms

- * Installation of a hotfix or upgrade with CPUSE fails with 'Error: Self Test failed, no auto-rollback'  

* The package status is "Installed, self-test failed" (in the CPUSE page of the Gaia portal, or using the `show installer packages` clish command).

## Cause

CPUSE performs a few self-tests on the machine after each installation, to verify that the machine is in usable state after the installation.

The self-tests include:

1. Check that critical Check Point processes have started (this test is on by default).  

2. Check that installation of local policy can be performed, via '*fw fetch local* ' (this test is off by default).  

3. Check that all network links that were up before the installation, are still up after it (this test is off by default).

If one of these tests fail, there is an option to perform an automatic rollback of the installation (this option is off by default).

All self-test settings can be changed via the CPUSE policy page in the Gaia portal, or via clish commands ('*set installer*...').

The '*Error: Self Test failed, no auto-rollback*' message means that one of the self-tests failed and that the option to perform automatic rollback was not enabled.
