# sk108354 - "Endpoint Security does not have administrative privileges" error when trying to install the Endpoint Security Client (EPS.msi package)

## Symptoms

- "`Endpoint Security does not have administrative privileges`" error is displayed when trying to install the Endpoint Security Client (EPS.msi).

## Solution

Follow these steps:

1. Go to the **Start** menu - search for **cmd**

2. Right-click on the **cmd.exe** - click on **Run as administrator**

3. In the Windows Command Prompt, run the following command:

   ***msiexec /i "DRIVE:\\path_to_EPS.msi_file\\EPS.msi" /l\*v C:\\EPS_install.log***
   Example: `msiexec /i "C:\my_setup_files\EPS.msi" /l*v C:\EPS_install.log`
