# sk108317 - URL Filtering does not block access to Google Mail via Chrome browser

## Symptoms

- * URL Filtering does not block access to Google Mail via Google Chrome browser although such a rule was configured.

* URL Filtering blocks access to Google Mail according to policy via other browsers.

## Cause

Current Application \& URL Filtering policy blocks access to Google Mail over HTTPS (TCP port 443).

Google Chrome browser uses [Quick UDP Internet Connections (QUIC)](https://www.chromium.org/quic) protocol to connect to Google Servers, which runs over UDP port 443. Therefore, this connection is not treated as HTTPS.
