## Symptoms

- * "Attack Info - IP \<IP address\> is trying to register as IP \<IP address\>" log in SmartView Tracker on SCCP traffic drop when client SCCP traffic is NATed behind another IP address.

* Setting `skinny_block_3rd_party_registration` parameter to *false* does not take effect on the Gateway.

## Cause

There is an internal protection on the Security Gateway to prevent clients from registering for SCCP with an IP address other than the client IP address. This protection was documented as *skinny_block_3rd_party_registration* and is located in the *objects_5_0.C* and *classes.C* files. The protection is obsolete as it was renamed to *sk_block_3rd_party_registration*.
