# sk108069 - "PNOTE Reporting" setting in Gaia OS causes frequent ClusterXL failovers

## Symptoms

- "PNOTE Reporting" setting in Gaia OS causes frequent ClusterXL failovers.

## Cause

When "PNOTE Reporting" is enabled, ClusterXL will failover / failback automatically if RouteD does not update its PNOTE within a specified time. This will happen if RouteD crashes or becomes unresponsive (refer to [sk92878 - User Space process monitoring mechanism in ClusterXL R76 and above](https://supportcenter.checkpoint.com/supportcenter/portal?eventSubmit_doGoviewsolutiondetails=&solutionid=sk92878)).
