## Symptoms

- SSL Network Extender (SNX) is not running after upgrading Mac OS X to 10.11 (El Capitan).

## Cause

Due to a newly added feature in Mac OS X 10.11 - "[System Integrity Protection](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/System_Integrity_Protection)", also named "Rootless" that preventss any 3rd party applications to run from a system partition, SNX fails to launch.
