# sk106733 - "DLP system errors detected - please check the DLP logs" DLP system error

## Symptoms

- * DLP traffic is not inspected by the gateway, although DLP is set to "Detect".  

* DLP blade is flapping status from OK to error "DLP system errors detected - please check the DLP logs"

* The dlpu debug shows:   

  `[DATE TIME] dlpe_fetch_users_timeout_check_callback: message_id={Message_UID}: checking whether user fetch callback has exceeded timeout.`  
  `

  [DATE TIME] dlpe_fetch_users_timeout_check_callback: Timeout exceeded - continuing scanning without users data. message_id :{Message_UID}`  
  `

  [DATE TIME] [{Message_UID}] [DLP_ERROR] dlpe_fetch_users_timeout_check_callback :: Users lookup timeout`

## Cause

The debug analysis shows that error is driven due to timeout in LDAP query for a given user. If the user information is not retrieved in the timeframe, the error will appear and the connection will match the �fail mode�.
