# sk106700 - CPU utilization and number of concurrent connections on Security Gateway increases significantly after upgrade

## Symptoms

- * After upgrade from R75.X on SecurePlatform OS to R77.X on Gaia OS the following is observed on Security Gateway / Active cluster member:

  * CPU utilization is significantly higher than before the upgrade
  * Number of concurrent connections is significantly higher (two fold and higher) than before the upgrade
* Enabling/disabling SecureXL does not make any noticeable difference.

## Cause

Due to multiple improvements in the newer version and in Gaia OS, the memory consumption and/or number of concurrent connections on Security Gateway may not reach the configured thresholds. Therefore, the IPS protection "Aggressive Aging" is not be triggered.
