## Symptoms

- Gaia / SecurePlatform OS boots into GRUB instead of normal mode - the following prompt is displayed:  
*grub\>*

## Cause

The */boot/grub/grub.conf* file is either empty, or corrupted.

Such corruption might occur when */boot* partition is full - e.g., when reverting to a snapshot, or when installing a hotfix that replaces Linux kernel files.
