# sk104841 - SmartEndpoint Console crashes at 75% launch

## Symptoms

- * SmartEndpoint crashes at 75% launch
* Server_messages.log:  
  ERROR - Error initializing endpoint  
  java.net.BindException: Address already in use /127.0.0.1:8080  
* Running *netstat -nap \| grep 8080* shows httpd2 as listening (instead of java)

## Cause

1. httpd2 is listening to port 8080, and therefore java was not able to connect to port 8080.
2. Something else is using port 8080 on the server.
