# sk103745 - How to collect logs/debugs from Check Point Capsule Cloud application (iOS / Android) and Capsule Cloud Connector (Windows / Mac OS X)

## Solution

Windows OS:
-----------

To enable logging and collect logs on Windows OS machine, use the procedures below:

**To enable Logging:**

1. Right-click the Capsule Connector icon.
2. Press 'Help \> Enable logging'.

**To collect Logs**:

1. Right-click the Capsule Connector icon
2. Press 'Help \> "Collect Logs"'.

After pressing "Collect Logs", a message window will be displayed, showing the following message: "*Logs are being collected and will be opened when done*".

At this point, the client is generating a CAB archive file with all the logs compressed, that will be opened once the process completes.

You can also collect the CAB file from the following path:

*C:\\Users\\%User%\\AppData\\Roaming\\Check Point Cloud Connector\\trlogs_xx-xx-xx_xx.xx.xx.cab*

To collect Logs for Capsule VPN for Windows client:

1. Collect event viewer logs: win key+R -\> eventvwr.msc
2. Save application and system event logs in .evtx format

Mac OS X:
---------

**To enable Logging:**

1. Right-click the Capsule Cloud icon.
2. Press 'Help \> Enable logging'.

**To collect the Logs:**

1. Right-click the Capsule Cloud icon.
2. Press 'Help \> "Collect Logs"'.

After pressing "Collect Logs" a folder called *trlogs_XX_XX_XXXX_XX_XX.XX* which contains a compressed file will be displayed.

Android OS:
-----------

By default, basic logs are being written to the mobile device storage. However, the client has an option to disable/extend the type of logs that will be written.

**To enable/disable log writing**

1. Open the Capsule Connect application.
2. Press 'About' on the upper left side of the screen.
3. Press 'settings' (3 aligned dots).
4. Configure logs - choose 'debug Verbose/basic/none'.

**To collect the logs**

1. Open the Capsule Connect application.
2. Press 'About' on the upper left side of the screen.
3. Press 'Settings' (3 Aligned dots).
4. Send logs.
5. Choose method of log distribution.

The Client will generate a compressed file that contains the relevant log files.

iOS:
----

**To enable/disable log writing**

1. Open the Capsule Connect application.
2. Press 'About' on the upper left side of the screen.
3. Change the toggle to start writing the logs (bottom-left side of the screen).

**To collect the logs**

1. Open the Capsule Connect application.
2. Press 'About' on the upper left side of the screen.
3. Press "Collect logs" and choose an E-mail to send the logs to.

Two log files will be generated:

* *LogsXXXX-X-XXX*
* *Pluginlogs XXXX-XXX*
