# sk103556 - Security Gateway does not respond to Ping

## Symptoms

- * Security Gateway does not respond to ping when SecureXL is on. It will respond to ping when SecureXL is off.
* Gateway is not part of a cluster.
* Output of Debug: \[SIM\]handle_outbound_packet: connection not found -\> drop;

## Cause

Kernel parameter 'fw_allow_simultaneous_ping' is enabled on the Gateway, which is not a part of a cluster.
