## Symptoms

- * UserCheck page is not displayed, although traffic is redirected to it.

* UserCheck page is not displayed even when trying to access it directly.

* "*mpclient getdata UserCheck*" command (issued several times) shows that the port is changing all the time, meaning the process tries to come up, but fails.

* HTTP/HTTPS Proxy is not enabled on the Security Gateway. HTTPS Inspection is enabled.
* UserCheck connectivity debug (fw ctl zdebug + crypt) shows that the port is constantly changing:
* ;\[cpu_2\];\[fw4_1\];vm_mux_get_portal_port 10: portal_num is 1, configured_portals is 10; ;\[cpu_2\];\[fw4_1\];vm_mux_get_portal_port 10: returning port (59937); ;\[cpu_1\];\[fw4_2\];vm_mux_get_portal_port 10: portal_num is 1, configured_portals is 10; ;\[cpu_1\];\[fw4_2\];vm_mux_get_portal_port 10: returning port (62710); ;\[cpu_3\];\[fw4_0\];vm_mux_get_portal_port 10: portal_num is 1, configured_portals is 10; ;\[cpu_3\];\[fw4_0\];vm_mux_get_portal_port 10: returning port (55247);
* In the logs and monitors we were able to see redirection to the User Check, but still the User Check message is not displayed on browser.

## Cause

The *pidfile* in */opt/CPUserCheckPortal/log/* directory is stuck and contains the old PID of the UserCheck portal.
