# sk103506 - Changes made in the value of 'vmalloc' in /boot/grub/grub.conf file on Gaia OS do not survive reboot

## Symptoms

- Changes made in the value of 'vmalloc' in the */boot/grub/grub.conf* file on Gaia OS do not survive reboot.

## Cause

The *$FWDIR/scripts/fwipv6_enable* script is executed at each boot. This script recalculates the *vmalloc* value and updates the */boot/grub/grub.conf* file.

This script should recalculate and update the *vmalloc* value only when enabling / disabling IPv6.
