# sk102807 - Following message appears on pepd debug after disabling Identity Sharing: "failed to get channel to pdp"

## Symptoms

- * Following message appears on pepd debug after disabling Identity Sharing:  
  "\[PEP (TD::Important)\] PEP::EventHandler::SendNetworkRegisterRequestsToPDPs: failed to get channel to pdp: xx.xx.xx.xx, 0 (or channel is down)"
* Traffic can potentially be suspended on firewall until pep Identity Sharing connection session times out.

## Cause

Rarely, if gateway pep still tries to pull sessions from Sharing member gateways, it fails because Identity Sharing connection is already closed.
