# sk102657 - CRL checking fails when authenticating with certificates with error: "could not retrieve CRL.CN=<username>,OU=users,O=<Management station>"

## Symptoms

- * Endpoint Security VPN client fails to connect to the VPN site.
* The following error is displayed when trying to connect: "could not retrieve CRL.CN=,OU=users,O=".
* The Security Gateway cannot communicate with the Security Management station on port 18264 to validate the certificates and retrieve the CRL.
* Windows firewall is dropping the traffic on port 18264.
* tcpdump on the gateway shows no ACK packets were received from the Security Management in response to the Syn packets sent from the Security Gateway.
