# sk102562 - Cluster state admin remains down after reboot or cpstop/cpstart

## Symptoms

- After reboot or cpstop/cpstart cluster admin remains down Have to bring the cluster manually up doesn't come up automatically

## Cause

Cluster admin state was changed to down permanently with "clusterXL_admin down -p" at some point and after every reboot the cluster state goes down.  

To confirm the persistent flag has been set:  
\[Expert@Hostname\]# cat $FWDIR/conf/cphaprob.conf  

The following entry will be found if the persistent (-p) flag was used:  
*admin_down 0 problem*
