# sk102497 - Security Gateway configured as DHCP Server drops its own DHCP Replies

## Symptoms

- * Security Gateway receives the DHCP Request, but DHCP Replies generated by the Security Gateway are dropped:

  ;fw_log_drop: Packet proto=17 X.X.X.X:67 -\> 255.255.255.255:68 dropped by fw_conn_post_inspect Reason: Handler 'dhcp_reply_code' drop;  
  ;fw_log_drop: Packet proto=17 X.X.X.X:67 -\> 255.255.255.255:68 dropped by fw_conn_post_inspect Reason: Handler 'dhcp_reply_code' drop;
* SmartView Tracker / SmartLog does not show any drop logs.

## Cause

The rule base is not configured to permit the DHCP Replies sent out by the Security Gateway.
