# sk102440 - Unable to attach/detach license, receiving "Check SIC status"

## Symptoms

- * When importing local licenses using the correct IP address matching the Endpoint Security server object, license are not attached but are added to repository as "unattached".   

* When attaching or detaching a large number of Endpoint licenses at once from the Endpoint Security server object in SmartUpdate, the status window reports a number of licenses that were not attached/detached and prompts to check the status of SIC.   
  Note: SIC status should not be relevant for a standalone Endpoint management server.

## Cause

Request times out due to number of licenses being added at once.
