# sk102047 - "Performing  restore" pop-up, or "Performing backup" pop-up appears when connecting to Gaia Portal

## Symptoms

- * When connecting to Gaia Portal, a pop-up appears with one of these messages:

  * `Performing local restore`
  * `Performing local backup`

  *Example*:

* '`Maintenance`' pane - '`System Backup`' page in Gaia Portal does not show any restore/backup tasks running.

## Cause

Last restore task, or backup task has ended unexpectedly.

Note: The issue might happen when performing local or non local backup/restore
