# sk101244 - Captive portal redirection does not work for https

## Symptoms

- Https traffic passing through Security Gateway does not match Captive Portal redirection rule in Application \& URL Filtering (APPI) rulebase.

## Cause

HTTPs traffic must be first accepted in main Security Gateway rulebase.  

We require multiple possible rulebase matches for the HTTPS connection so that the connection is not matched on the initial SYN but instead matched once the full HTTPS session is seen.
